Description
Authorized for qualified personnel in the Army, Army Reserve or National Guard. It is 1" in height with a cross pattee. Two rings at the bottom are for attaching a bar naming the weapon with which the recipient qualified. In a silver oxide (pewter type) finish.
The US Army issues marksmanship badges for expert, sharpshooter and marksman qualfiications. Suspended from it are component bars that indicate the specific weapons the soldier is qualfied for. Only three marksmanship badges are authorized for wear at one time, and each may only have up to three component bars.
